The Targis^® System

The Targis^® System uses a cooled transurethral microwave thermotherapy to treat Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia (BPH). The Targis treatment uses precisely directed microwave heat to create coagulative necrosis of the prostate tissue.

The cooled water assists with patient comfort and provides quicker recovery times. BPH patients interested in an alternative to expensive daily medications may benefit from this non-surgical procedure.

The ACLS trained nurses at Physician Discoveries have more than 10 years’ experience with this technology. The procedure takes approximately one hour, and patients typically experience quick recovery times because general anesthesia is not required.
